The reforestation of Northwestern Ontario is supported, in large part, by Tree Nurseries from all over Northwestern Ontario.
Our region can produce somewhere over 20 million seedling trees every season!
The ideal growing season for tree nurseries spans from early April until the end of October.
The Tree nurseries in Ontario grow much more than just Spruce and Pine trees. Many tree nurseries from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and other Midwest States contract the tree seedling growth to greenhouses in Northwestern Ontario because our climate is similar - and our tree seedling starters have a reputation for a better survival rate after planting.
